Initial Discovery: Four Critical Needs
Our early discussions with Capitol Securities revealed four key initiatives that would drive their digital transformation. They needed to modernize their public-facing website, showcase their distinctive market commentary, create a compelling digital recruitment presence, and develop an intranet to connect their distributed workforce as well as showcase and educate advisors on new financial products.
What made this project particularly interesting was how these seemingly separate needs were actually deeply interconnected. Success would require thinking holistically about both external perception and internal communication.

The Public Face: Reimagining Their Digital Presence
Rather than simply updating the design, we took a strategic approach to the public website redesign. The homepage got a complete rethink – out went the standard index information, replaced by Capitol's insightful market commentary front and center. We created a dynamic advisor spotlight program that showcased the real experts behind the firm's success, while making it easier than ever for potential new advisors to see themselves joining the team through a prominent "Join Us" section.
The recruitment aspect was particularly important. We developed a transparent approach to sharing commission tiers and benefits, something rarely seen in the industry. As one advisor later told us, "Finally, a firm willing to put their cards on the table!" This transparency, combined with success stories from current team members, created a compelling case for talented advisors looking for their next home.
